Takashi Ishino received his Master’s degree from Azabu University in 1987. In 1991, he studied veterinary acupuncture and moxibustion in China and subsquently opened the Kamakura Genko Veterinary Hospital. In his practice, he uses gentle treatments combining modern Western and traditional Eastern medicine. He is also an honorary “Ishino Method” (therapeutic massage) advisor at the French headquarters of PEIA, Associate Professor at the Nanjing Agricultural University, honorary advisor at the Research and Learning Centre for Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and director of the Japan Medical Aromatherapy Animal Clinical Veterinary Committee.

He regularly appears in the media and offers a full range of seminars.
